Dr. Barry Gordon says if you believe your child is choking, avoid doing one of the most common things:
Dr. Gordon says instead you should position the child over your knee or your arm so that the object can move back towards the child’s mouth.
A choking child is a terrifying experience. Gordon says one of the first things you should always do is call 911.
