(North Canton, Ohio) – A Stark County man is facing multiple charges after police say he tried to lure a young girl from North Canton park.
42-year-old Sean Richardson of North Canton was arrested on Friday on two warrants charging him with criminal child enticement. Reports indicate he is accused of approaching the child on Tuesday at Price Park on West Maple Street North Canton where he allegedly tried to get her to leave the playground and come to his vehicle. He reportedly told the child he wanted to show her the rabbits he had found.
He fled the area after the incident occurred.
According to court records, Richardson has a history of child-related offenses, has served time behind bars and is registered as a Tier II sex offender in the state of Ohio.
He was booked into the Stark County Jail where he’s being held on $200,000 cash or surety bond pending his hearing in Canton Municipal Court next week.
