(New Philadelphia, Ohio) – Buckeye Career Center is gearing up to host their annual open house.
Officials say they will again open its doors to prospective students, current students, family members, alumni, past staff and community members during the annual Fall Open House. The event is Thursday, November 15, 2018, from 5:30-7:30pm at Buckeye Career Center in New Philadelphia.
Visitors will have the chance to tour the building and visit any of the 35 high-school programs being offered in the 2019-20 school year. Attendees can meet instructors and academic teachers and view classrooms and program labs.
Adult Education staff will also have information available for those interested in possibly enrolling in full-time 2019-20 adult courses or current part-time education options.
Academic displays will also be available for viewing in the cafeteria. Superintendent Bob Alsept refers to Buckeye as a melting pot for Tuscarawas, Carroll, and Holmes County students. “Our students come to learn skills but leave with solid relationships that will help them throughout their lives. Their efforts have helped transform Buckeye Career Center from a school into a community gem,” said Alsept.
Attendees will be offered a complimentary meal and students who apply online for the 2019-20 school year, while at the open house, will receive a small gift. Alumni and past staff are invited to gather in the Joe Carlisle Café for light refreshments. Past yearbooks will also be displayed. Alumni will receive a gift for attending, as well. The event is free and open to the public.
Advance registration is not required but guests are asked to enter at the main entrance and sign-in in the cafeteria. Those who bring their invitation to the open house will be entered to win a door prize. Buckeye Career Center is located at 545 University Drive, NE, New Philadelphia, OH 44663.
