(New Philadelphia, Ohio) – The New Philadelphia City School District is asking voters to renew a 5.9-mill levy next week.
Superintendent David Brand noted that approval of the levy will not increase taxes and if passed, it would commence in 2019. “We appreciate the support our community shows for the kids and our district, and we are hopeful that the community will continue to approve this renewal levy, without any tax increase.”
Brand explained the renewal levy helps fund all of the operations and the programming for children in the district and generates about $1,800,225 annually.
