Come Play at Holiday Pop-Up!

(New Philadelphia, Ohio) – STEAM Centers has a fun, family, holiday-focused event to tell you all about!

Ho, ho, ho! The holidays are just around the corner, and in our last event of 2018, STEAM Centers is hosting a Holiday Pop-Up at Park Place Teen Center in New Philadelphia on Thursday, December 6 from 4:30-6:30 PM. Our Pop-Up Museum will be joined by some wonderful friends, even the man in red himself!

Photo 1The Pop-Up Museum hosts interactive activities and exhibits geared towards children around ages 2-6, though we know that many older and younger kids have had fun playing with us as well. With things like a pool noodle forest, giant geoboard, engineering and building play, and sensory friendly activities provide children with ways to explore their own way. Made to be mobile, the Pop-Up Museum travels to various community events in Tuscarawas County, and play is free.

STEAM PHOTO 5Along with the Pop-Up Museum, T.J. Marlatt & the Magicians will be joining us for an interactive show of music and magical fun! Wonderfully engaging, their performance is entertaining for kids and families.

Rumor has that Santa and Mrs. Claus will be taking a break from Christmas preparations at the North Pole to come on down and celebrate with us. While there won’t be any photographer there, parents are encouraged to take their own.

STEAM PHOTO 2While the Pop-Up Museum, magic show, and photos with Santa are all free, STEAM Centers will have pre-purchased BBQ chicken dinners available for carryout or dine-in. This fundraiser is to provide support for the Pop-Up Museum and expansion in 2019. The dinners are being prepared by Three Little Piggies BBQ, and tickets for the dinner can be purchased online at steamcenters.org or by calling 330.754.4618. Park Place will have their smoothie bar open for beverage purchases.
