(New Philadelphia, Ohio) – A former guidance counselor for Garaway Local Schools is facing a charge of theft in office.
45-year-old Felix F. Calzada of the Dover area has been indicted for allegedly returning books for refunds that were borrowed from Kent State University at Tuscarawas for use by high school students in college-level courses.
Reports indicate he resigned from his position with Garaway on April 24th after being placed on administrative leave throughout an investigation into possible professional conduct violations.
Investigators note the alleged theft is believed to have occurred in January of 2017.
