(New Philadelphia, Ohio) – The trial has been set for a former Garaway Local Schools guidance counselor accused of theft in office.
45-year-old Felix Calzada of Dover has pleaded not guilty to the charge, which stems from allegations he took refunds from books that were borrowed from Kent State University for use by high school students in college-level courses.
Reports indicate Calzada resigned from his position with the school district back on April 24th after he was placed on administrative leave during the investigation. The theft incident allegedly took place on January 10th, 2017. The trial has been scheduled for April 2nd, 2019.
