(Massillon, Ohio) – The Massillon City School district is encouraging kindness in a new campaign.
The kindness poster contest involves children K-12 and encourages them to think about and design a poster around the idea of Kindness. “The poster contest is a collaborative effort with the City of Massillon,” explained Olivia Bronczek, Communications Coordinator with the district. “It is part of their #Allin4Kindness campaign. We talked about doing something like this when the campaign began in August and we were waiting for the best time to hold the contest. We hope that it will encourage students to be kind and serve as a reminder to carry out acts of kindness.”
Contest categories are K-2, 3-5, 6-8 and 9-12.
Rules for entry include:
- Size must be no smaller than 8.5 inches by 11 inches but no larger than 11 inches by 17 inches.
- Original artwork only – poster design may include freehand letters and drawings only.
- Limit to 0-15 words.
- Provide name, grade, and school on the BACK of the artwork.
Officials note that there is no limitation on the type of media (print, crayon, felt, pen, etc.) used on the poster design. However, wood, plastic, glass or metal, should not be part of the poster.
