(New Philadelphia, Ohio) – The 46th annual Rainbow Connection Telethon raised more than a quarter million dollars.
The eight-and-a-half-hour event on Sunday, March 10th raised $260,182.70. Officials explained the goal is to exceed the previous year’s fundraising total by one dollar. This year, however, they exceeded last year’s total of $225,370.05 by much more.
Along with the organization’s entire board of directors, hundreds of volunteers and other participants passed through the event, which was held at Tuscarawas Central Catholic High School.
Rainbow Connection officials also indicated possible plans for another big project expected to be announced later this year.
