(Ohio) – Children across the state are getting an opportunity to design an anti-bullying license plate.
The contest is to create the logo and slogan for the ‘Stop Bullying’ plates and is a joint effort between the Ohio Attorney General’s Office and the Ohio Education Association.
The contest is exclusive to children enrolled in kindergarten through fifth grade in the current school year, 2018-2019. Entries must be postmarked by May 31st.
The winner will receive a certificate and see the winning artwork featured on the special plates. Officials explain the contributions from sales of the plates will help fund bullying prevention grants and efforts for nonprofit, school districts and individual schools.
The bill authorizing the plates was passed in March.
