Local library invites public to educational kids’ program

(Dover, Ohio) – Different pets have different needs, and it’s always a good idea to try before you buy.

Dover Public Library invites Christa Hein from Bring the Farm to You to share her rabbit-rearing knowledge with families interested in learning more about this popular, cuddly pet.

Christa will bring a real rabbit with her to a program on Monday, June 17 at 6:00 pm at Dover Public Library.

She will teach participants about the basics of rabbit care, and the bunny will stay at the library for two weeks following the program. “I’m a big animal lover, so I’m super excited for this program,” says Claire Kandle, Youth Services Manager. “It’s going to be great to have an animal visit the Children’s Department for two weeks so kids can have a chance to be face to face with a cuddly critter.” She adds, “I’ve owned lots of animals but never a rabbit, and the Humane Society sometimes has them up for adoption, so I’m thinking about it.”

Registration for Raising a Bunny is available online at www.doverlibrary.org, or you can call the library at 330-343-6123 for more information.
