BCC students invited to high school student orientation

(New Philadelphia, Ohio) –  It’s nearly time to begin the 2019-2020 school year at
Buckeye Career Center.

The first day for juniors and new students is Monday, August 19 and returning students begin Tuesday, August 20. Both days begin at 7:50am and end at 2:25pm. Juniors and new students will be treated to the annual “Buckeye Palooza,” an event that features
inflatables, food, and games for new students to interact with their classmates and instructors.

Ahead of the first day of school, Buckeye will host its annual high school orientation
Wednesday, August 14, 2019, from 12:30-7:30pm for all high school students. Students and their families can stop by at any time between those hours.

Class schedules will be distributed and students will also be able to get their student identification photo taken, register for a parking permit (will need license plate number and $5.00 registration fee), pay fees, receive a copy of the dress code and code of conduct, get login information for student grade information, receive assistance with online student forms, and have questions answered before school starts.

Students can also submit their application to be part of BCC’s Drug-Free Clubs of America chapter. Handdipped ice cream will also be distributed to students and their family members. Student fees and lunch account payments for the 2019-20 school year may be made with cash, check, or credit card during orientation or anytime in the treasurer’s office.

Payments can also be made online using PayForIt.net, which is BCC’s online partner for paying fees and adding money to a student’s lunch account. Please note that fee amounts will not appear on PayForIt until mid-August. Students who chose to pay for their lunch daily can still do so at the cashier station in the cafeteria. Breakfast and lunch prices remain the same from the 2018-19 school year. Student breakfast is $2.25 and student lunch $3.25.

Incoming high school juniors can still apply to attend Buckeye Career Center for the 2019-20 school year by visiting the district’s website at http://www.BuckeyeCareerCenter.org.
