Dover Band preview set for this weekend

(Dover, Ohio) – The Dover Marching Tornadoes are gearing up for the 48th annual Dover Band Preview this weekend at Crater Stadium.

The show will begin at 7:00 p.m. with the traditional Parade of Bands.

Dover will host seven bands in addition to performing ‘Peace, Love, and LOUD: a Tribute to Woodstock.” The performance will include songs such as “Evil Ways,” “Take You Higher/Dance to the Music,” “Feelin’ Alright,” and Jefferson Airplane’s version of “Somebody to Love.”

Other bands performing will be the Conotton Valley Marching Rockets, the Garaway Marching Pirates, the Canton South Wildcat Marching Band, the Newcomerstown High School Marching Band, the Steubenville High School Big Red Band, and the Canton McKinley High School Marching Band.

The night will conclude with a special guest performance from “Ohio’s Pride” University of Akron Marching Band. Akron will feature their 2019 PreGame Show in addition to two selectins from their Video Games show.

Tickets are $7 at the gate. Children under 5 and senior citizens are free. More information is available at marchingtornadoes.com.
