(New Philadelphia, Ohio) – The Tuscarawas County Anti-Drug Coalition will again participate in the Tuscarawas County Fair as an exhibitor.
ADC members will be located under the grandstands. Members will be available to answer questions the community may have about the mission of the ADC, upcoming events, volunteer opportunities and more. A variety of local resource specific to youth substance use and prevention will also be available to community members who stop by.
Additionally, ADC members will be conducting a survey to collect data related to youth substance use in Tuscarawas County. This year’s survey will focus on youth marijuana use. The coalition uses the data as a guide to determine best practices when it comes to substance use prevention among the county’s youth.
“We remain committed to showcasing the real dangers of youth substance use,” explained ADC Coordinator Jodi Salvo. “It is important that our community understands the damage it can cause. That is why we actively meet community members where they are to share information and resources, collect local data, and answer questions.”
After a person completes a survey, they can then play PLINKO with an opportunity to win prizes from t-shirts, sunglasses, frisbees and more.
Members will be available every day of the fair from 10:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
