Mentor Mondays – Organization Leadership

(New Philadelphia, Ohio) – Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much.” – Helen Keller.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of East Central Ohio is made possible because of a passionate team that is dedicated to having a positive impact on the lives of local children.

One of the many individuals that drive the organization forward is Daniel Long. 2019 marks Daniel’s third year serving on the BBBS board. Daniel is originally from Akron, but he and his wife have lived in Carrollton for the last 20 years. Together they have 5 children and 11 grandchildren.

Professionally Daniel is a mortgage banker, but he has become passionate about the BBBS organization as well. “I love children and I love the BBBS mission,” he explained. BBBS is an asset in the community because it motivates the public to help local children, he added.

He encourages anyone who may be curious about BBBS to attend a BBBS event and witness the passion the team has for local kids!

“The staff and volunteers at BBBS are the driving force that keeps the mission and vision right in front of our eyes,” added Daniel.
