(Canton, Ohio) – Goodwill Industries of Greater Cleveland and East Central Ohio is offering a free children’s book giveaway at its Community Campus in downtown Canton this Thursday.
The children’s book giveaway is focused on increasing literacy with children throughout the community. All of the books provided through this program were donated to Goodwill stores over the past few months and are now being provided to the public.
In the past, Goodwill has offered a similar children’s book program through partnerships with the Stark County Hunger Task Force and area mother’s groups. Now, the program has expanded and available to the public.
Thousands of books will be available to the community. The giveaway is open to families with children. Attendees will be required to sign in and will then be provided a bag they can fill with children’s books at no charge.
The children’s book giveaway will be held Thursday, October 24 from 8am to 4pm, until supplies last, at The Ken Weber Community Campus at Goodwill 408 Ninth St. SW in downtown Canton.
