Paramount Advantage Managed Care Plan is Ending Service to Tuscarawas County

(New Philadelphia, Ohio) – Tuscarawas County residents using the Paramount Advantage Managed Care Plan will need to choose a different provider as soon as February 1, 2020.

Paramount Advantage has not given official notice to area agencies of their decision to end services, but have stated they were notifying current members initially so their covered members can begin the process of choosing another plan. Letters were sent to current covered members on January 6, 2020 advising members they must choose a different plan by February 1, 2020.  There are 34 counties in Ohio which will be affected by their decision to end services.

Members in Tuscarawas County have four other Medicaid managed care plans to choose from:  United Healthcare Community Plan, Molina, Caresource, and Buckeye Community Health Plan.  Members currently using Paramount Advantage can call the Selection Services number at 1-800-605-3040 to change to another provider.  Any member who does not respond with another selection by May 31, 2020 will automatically be enrolled into one of the other plans.  If members have specific questions regarding their coverage with Paramount, they are urged to call Paramount Advantage directly.
