Tuscarawas County – Dover Public Library announces upcoming storytime

(Dover, Ohio) – Story time has taken a different look at the Dover Public Library. 

Children’s Department Manager Jen Gardner has been reading stories to patrons on FaceBook since the pandemic has started.  Storytimes will continue on FaceBook Live on the Dover Public Library page on Wednesdays at 10:00am and Saturdays at 10:00am.

“In September, we will feature some guest readers sharing with us their favorite stories,” said Jen Gardner.  The Children’s Department will also hold Storytime at Deis Hill three Wednesdays in September at 1:00pm, weather permitting. 

The live storytime will adhere to all rules following social distancing, mandatory masks and will be limited to 10 people total.  Interested patrons must sign up ahead of time by calling the library at 330-343-6123 or by stopping into the Children’s Department.  The storytime will be held on September 16, September 23, and September 30.  “The current situation of the world has changed the way we do things but we have not stopped reading to our youngest patrons and we are learning to adapt to the times” stated Gardner.  

Registration for the three storytimes at Deis Hill can be made by calling the library at 330-343-6123 or by stopping into the Children’s Department at 525 N Walnut St. Dover, Ohio.
