Stark County Hunger Task Force will offer a remote Backpack for Kids program distribution for students who are currently in remote education.
Students in the Massillon City School District are eligible to pick up bags of weekend meals. Meal pickup will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on third Thursdays in Room 1310 at the Ken Weber Community Campus at Goodwill, 408 Ninth St. SW, Canton.
The first distribution will take place on November 19th. Bags will contain four breakfasts, four lunches, four snacks, and juice boxes. Households will receive one weekend bag for each child in the household.
Parents or guardians must present a photo ID. Children need not be present. Masks are required for entry into the building, and social distancing guidelines will be in place.
The agency is currently looking to secure a location in Massillon for future distributions.
