Ashland County – Hillsdale Local works on reopening plan for 2020-2021

(Jeromesville, Ohio) – The Hilldale Local school district is working on plans for the upcoming 2020-2021 school year.

The district published the following message to its website this week:

Between July 20 and July 23, your child’s building principal will be contacting you by phone to collect information vital to Hillsdale Schools’ Return-to-School Plan. Among other applications, the information will be used to help in establishing the 2020-21 bus routes.

When they contact you, please be ready to answer the following questions. If you have questions pertaining to the information they will be collecting, you may ask them at the time of the phone call. We understand you likely have many questions. If they are not addressed in the plan, the details are still being worked out and will be shared as soon as they are available.

1. After reviewing the return-to-school plan for Hillsdale Local Schools (below), are you planning on sending your child to school, considering they will be required to wear a mask?

2. If your child will be attending school, will you use the district’s transportation, understanding riders will be required to wear a mask while on the bus?

3. If you are not sending your child to school when we reopen, will your child be using Hillsdale School’s self-paced Virtual Classroom?
(Please note that this is different from having to move to Plan D–100% remote learning–in case buildings need to close again. If so, please register by August 14, 2020, at http://www.hillsdale.k12.oh.us/district/news/k-12-online-learning-curric….)
