Emergency Funds Available for Kent State Tuscarawas Students

(New Philadelphia, Ohio) – Applications for Kent State Emergency Grant Funds are being accepted.

The grants are available to Kent State University at Tuscarawas students experiencing financial difficulties during the COVID-19 outbreak. Kent State is committed to helping students who are struggling financially due to the pandemic. Emergency funds are available to students who are registered for the 2020 Spring Semester and are pursuing a degree.

“During this unprecedented time, the lives of our Tusc students may have been significantly disrupted,” said Jason Maurer, Kent State Tuscarawas financial aid coordinator. “Both students and families are dealing with unexpected costs, including, but not limited to, travel, food, housing and technology needs, and lost wages. Kent State has emergency funding available to students at all the campuses that can help overcome these difficulties and unforeseen challenges.”

Emergency grant money will be distributed with the intent of helping as many students as possible with financial challenges. The financial awards will be based on a student’s individual need and circumstance.
