DOVER, OH–The Dover Public Library will host an Afternoon with Author Glenn Myers on Saturday, March 2 at 2:00 PM in the library’s Community Room. Myers will discuss his new book, Call Me Coach: Team Sports and Life,” which addresses the question of what exactly makes a good coach. In the book, author and Ohio native Glenn Myers combines his experiences in teaching, coaching, school psychology, law, and community leadership to provide a comprehensive guide for success in coaching team sports. With a straightforward style, Myers gets inside the game to pull out the building blocks of successful coaching. He also presents the psychology components necessary to create a safe, positive, team sport experience for all players as well as the coach. “Call Me Coach” guides team sport coaches to find a personal style that leads to success and encourages a rewarding, life-changing experience for every player.
“This program is perfect for all levels of coaches,” says Jim Gill, library director. “Good coaches know that in order to be effective they need to be improving as coaches, mentors and leaders. Glenn Myers’ book is a great resource for coaches who want to make a greater impact.”
