Manor House Tours at Quail Hollow Park -Stark County

May marks the return of Manor House Tours at Quail Hollow Park. Every Sunday through this fall from 1 to 4 p.m. offers a chance to look at how a 700 acre park has gone from frontier to woodlands with historical structures showcasing unique design, décor, and landscaping. Enter through the Visitor Center behind the house. Guided tours will occur at 1 and 2:30 p.m., last approximately 45-60 min, and include rooms on three levels. This building has no elevator so be prepared to climb stairs.
After the tour, stop in the Quail’s Nest Gift Shop for gifts or snacks and enjoy strolling around the park’s 700 acres. The shop is run by volunteers from the Quail Hollow Volunteer Association.
Another volunteer group active at the park is the Herbal Society, which invites you to get involved and attend their meetings and speakers. They will meet on May 1 at 2 p.m. in the Manor House Library and hear a presentation about Day lilies and Madonna Lilly, Dill weed, Eucalyptus, Garlic, and Ginger benefits. All are welcome to share any uses and recipes for these herbs. Contact: Contact Cherie Parker at herbandgarden@yahoo.com or message us and we’ll get you in touch.
On May 14, we’ll take advantage of bird migration season with a hike around the park to look and listen for unique species passing through to their summer homes. Meet at the Pond Parking Lot at 7 a.m. with binoculars and celebrate National Migratory Bird Day!
Of course an on your own visit to the park is encouraged anytime. Plan your visit to Hartville with Discover Hartville, Ohio and Quail Hollow Park
