Spring Hill’s Concerts on the Hill Series -Stark County

Massillon, Ohio: Spring Hill Historic Home’s Concerts on the Hill summer series continues with performances on
Tuesday, July 26 by Hunter Skeens and the Forerunners and Tuesday, August 16 by Bryan Stahl Acoustic.
This year Spring Hill kicked off a free summer series to bring various performers to the historic property that
feature acoustic, bluegrass, and folk/Americana music from within and outside Stark County. These concerts take
place on Tuesday evenings at 6:30pm and bring a different genre of music to the community than those offered by
surrounding city and township concerts.
Hunter Skeens and the Forerunners will perform on Tuesday, July 26, bringing their unique style of traditional and
“grassed-up” roots music to Spring Hill. The final performance in the series on Tuesday, August 16 will feature
Bryan Stahl, a folk singer/songwriter who crafts his own songs with haunting acoustic melodies and thoughtful
lyrics. His folk style has often been compared to Jim Croce and Cat Stevens.
The Concerts on the Hill series is free and open to the public. Attendees should bring their own lawn chair or
blanket for seating; a limited number of picnic tables will be available. Light concessions will be available for
purchase (cash only) but outside food and drink are permitted. Donations support Spring Hill’s mission to preserve
the historic farmstead and educate the public about local history with national impact.
