A former physical education teacher at McKinley High School teacher is sentenced on charges alleging he had sexual relationships with her students.

36-year-old Tiffany Eichler pleaded guilty last month to three counts of sexual battery, all third-degree felonies. According to reports, Eichler appeared before Stark County Common Pleas Court Judge John Haas on Tuesday.

Judge Haas sentenced Eichler to serve 30 days in the Stark County Jail followed by 30 “half-days” in a non-jail reporting program through the criminal justice system. The Judge also noted a 60-month reserved prison sentence should she violate the terms of her three-year probation.

Eichler was also ordered to serve 300 hours of community service, undergo counseling, pay a $1,000 fine and pay the cost of counseling for any of her victims. Judge Haas also demanded she writes an essay that detailed how wrong her actions were and the impact they had on her life and the lives of her victims. Additionally, she has permanently lost her teaching license and must register as a sex offender for the rest of her life.

She had faced up to fifteen years in prison, a maximum of five years on each charge.
