(Dover, Ohio) – Why Bowl for Kids’ Sake is such a big deal!
Big Brothers Big Sisters of East Central Ohio is gearing up for the annual Bowl for Kids’ Sake, the largest fundraising effort of the year. The event has raised a total of $65,000 to support matches in Tuscarawas and Carroll Counties.
Teams are made up of families, businesses, organizations and other groups coming together to help fundraise for BBBS. Supporters make individual donations, host their own fundraising efforts such as a bake sale or chili cook-off, and ask family and friends to contribute to their bowling teams.
The teams then come together for the Community Bowl events. This year there will be four primary bowls: Friday, March 6th at Atwood Lanes; Saturday, Mary 7th at Cy Young Lanes; Saturday, March 7th at Boulevard Lanes; and a Sensory Friendly Bowl at Boulevard Lanes on Friday, March 27t.
Teams will be provided with pizza as they enjoy bowling together and supporting a worthy cause. Teams that meet different fundraising levels are also eligible for prizes including Amazon gift cards and Smart TVs. Funds can be turned in until Friday, March 27th to be eligible to win big prizes.
The biggest need for BBBS right now is for more teams to sign up at Boulevard Lanes on Saturday, March 7th. The event will run from 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. Teams can register by calling Olivia Scally at 330-339-6916 or by email at oscally@bigs4kids.com.
