If you or someone you love is in need of safety items for a baby or young child, the Tuscarawas County Health Department can provide help through the Safe Beginnings Program.
TCHD officials took to Facebook recently to make sure the public was aware of this local resource. Officials explained in the post, “because this equipment is considered necessary for the safety of infants and young children, Safe Beginnings is considered an essential program during this time.”
The organization’s health education team is available to provide parent education via phone and also to schedule curbside equipment pick up during this time for the protection of everyone involved.
Families that are eligible for this program must have an income level within 200% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines. For example, a family of four (including an unborn child) with a gross income at or below $47,638 annually, or $3,970 monthly would qualify.
