Akron Children’s Hospital offers nutrition consults for young athletes

(Akron, Ohio) – Akron Children’s Hospital is now providing nutritional counseling for young athletes through its Sports Medicine department.

She typically meets with a patient for a 30- to 60-minute initial consult and is also available for follow up support if needed.

Bailey, who has been a pediatric clinical dietitian with Akron Children’s since 2014, has a master of science degree in nutrition and a bachelor’s degree in nutrition and dietetics, both from Kent State University. She also works with patients with eating disorders.

Patients interested in meeting with Bailey should have a referral from their primary care physician.
