Stark county students can receive $200 for school clothes if they are currently receiving food assistance thanks to Stark County Job and Family Services.

Stark County Job and Family Services is helping to prepare students for the upcoming school year.  Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, a one-time benefit is available to those who are currently receiving food assistance.  The Back to school clothing program can provide a maximum benefit of $200 per eligible kindergartener through twelfth-grade student enrolled in a Stark County school.  This does not include homeschooling students, online or digital classrooms.

$200 for School Clothes Criteria:

• Complete and return a signed COVID-19 PRC application by 4:00pm on July 23rd.
• Applicants must be the custodial parent, applying for school-age children attending a Stark County school for the 2021/2022 school year.
• Open on and in receipt of SNAP benefits at the time of application.
• Applicants must be residents of Stark County

Applications will be processed in the order received and benefits distributed through the program period or until funds are exhausted, whichever is first.

Stark County Job & Family Services offers a variety of local assistance to our community including:

• Children services
  • Suspected abuse or neglect, foster care, kinship placement, residential placement, group home care, and more.
• Human services
  • Food assistance, Medicaid, NET, Child care programs, and more.
• Child support
  • Establishing paternity and support, issuing orders for medical support, modifying & enforcing support orders, monitoring collection and disbursement of payments as well as a Stark County Fatherhood Coalition key member.
