The past two years have been rough for everyone. There’s a chance your physical health, as well as your mental health, have suffered. Start 2022 off right with some healthy goals to improve your lifestyle and overall wellbeing!

2022 Healthy Goals

  1. Choose healthy foods!
Eat more plant-based foods, aiming for 5 to 9 servings of fruits and vegetables daily. Choose whole-grain breads and cereals, and eat healthy fats like nuts, flax meal, and soy.
  2. Get enough sleep.
Experts recommend 7 to 8 hours of sleep per night. Don’t scroll your phone before bed or drink highly caffeinated drinks after 2 pm.
  3. Move your body!
Work exercise into your daily routine. Aim for 30 to 60 minutes of exercise a day, with at least two days dedicated to strength training.
  4. Stop using drugs, drinking alcohol, or smoking tobacco products.
They are tough habits to kick, but make 2022 the year you improve your health and say goodbye to these substances.
  5. Pay attention to how you spend your time.
Make time for family and friends. Invest time in yourself and your loved ones. Make time for your spiritual health and start to practice prayer, meditation, or daily reading.

It can be difficult and daunting to add new habits to your life, but these 2022 goals will undoubtedly pay off. When you invest the time and energy in yourself, you are better able to love and help other people. Make 2022 your year and implement some of these goals!
