Pumpkin spice and everything nice. Fall has arrived and with it all of the activities that make this season everyone’s favorite. Newsymom doesn’t want you and your crew to miss any of the fall family fun, so check out our guide to this year’s fall festivals!

Midvale Miners’ Jubilee

September 6-8, 2024

Midvale Community Park

This festival was named in honor of the Midvale Lion’s Jubilee that was held in the village of Midvale for many years and the Miners Festival that was held in more recent years. It will be a time to come together to celebrate community and history. We will have a variety of food vendors and entertainment. There will be something for everyone!

 

Yankee Peddler Festival

September 7-8, 14-15, 21-22, 2024

Clay’s Park Resort, Canal Fulton, OH

Step back in time and visit pioneer America. Sample food and crafts from colonial times on over 27 acres filled with entertainment for the whole family.

 

 

 

Tuscarawas County Fair

September 16 – 22, 2024

Tuscarawas County Fairgrounds, Dover, OH

The Tuscarawas County Fair features agricultural exhibits, including livestock and produce from local farmers and 4-H members, alongside carnival rides, live music performances, and a variety of fair games. Visitors can enjoy classic fair foods and regional specialties from numerous vendors.

 

Jackson Township Oktoberfest

September 14, 2024

Nash Family Jackson Amphitheater

This event will feature a Biergarten, a craft beer tasting experience, great Oktoberfest foods, live music, activities and games for the entire family.

Pumpkin Days at Nick-a-Jack Farms

September 14th-October 31st

2024 is our 20th Pumpkin Days season! We have over 70 activities! Our activities include, Wagon Rides, Corn Maze, Pony Rides, Barnyard Animals, Chippies Corn Crib, Strides Slides, Rascals Round Up, Peddle Carts, Piggly Wiggly Races, Photo Opportunities, Spider Web, Play Sets, Barnyard Bubbles, Straw Maze, Rascals Rollers, The Nickajack 500, and more!

We will have many vendors, food trucks and activities for kids! On top of that we will have all things FALL! Pumpkins, mums, cornstalks and so much more. New Berlin Festival

September 28th

Downtown North Canton

An Oktoberfest style event hosted by the North Canton Chamber of Commerce that pays tribute to our German heritage when North Canton was better known as New Berlin.
On Saturday, Sept 28 2024 join us as we shut down Main St, hire the biggest and best Polka Band (Chardon Polka Band) this side of the Tuscarawas and invite local vendors, food trucks and breweries to cater to our local residents.

Cedar Crest Farm has been in the family since 1959 and is now a third-generation family beef and grain farm. Come and take in the rolling acres, the open sky and life on the farm at Cedar Crest Farm where we combine education with activities and farm fun.  Experience life on the farm and visit our farm animals, explore the 5 acre corn maze, ride the kiddie train, play in the corn box, take a ride on the Mega Slide and visit our education displays. Bring the family for the day to enjoy outdoor exploration and the Grosenbaugh Food Truck or a quick stop for a few mums and pumpkins. Preschool and grade school children are welcome at earlier hours, please contact in advance.

Every fall since 1953, downtown Sugarcreek, Ohio transforms into a lively Swiss village, celebrating the rich cultural heritage of Switzerland. From wine and cheese samplings to races, contests, and parades, the Swiss Festival offers something for everyone. There’s music, food, and entertainment each day of the festival.

 

Fall Steam Festival: Trains, Tractors, and Traditions

September 27-28, 2024

The Age of Steam Roundhouse Museum

The Age of Steam Roundhouse Museum’s Fall Steam Festival: Trains, Tractors & Traditions, is an event to relive some of the most fondly remembered aspects of historic Americana; steam machines, baseball, and hotdogs. With the help of the Iron Horses of the Erie Railroad vintage base ball club, guests to this event can watch base ball played as it was in the old days, in empty fields, with little more equipment than what you and your friends could sling over your shoulders. There will be a food vendor present to sell hotdogs and other fare to guests while they enjoy the ball games.

Apfelfest | Ohio, The Heart of It AllSeptember 28-29, 2024

Historic Zoar Village

Apfelfest at Zoar Village is a celebration of fall, featuring cider pressing, apple butter demonstrations, and a bakery full of baked apple goods. Enjoy candy apples, apple cider, and shop at the mum sale while kids engage in crafts. The Pie Baking Contest kicks off on Saturday, with archery available on Saturday only, and farm animals to visit on Sunday only. Browse diverse vendors, and delve into historical demonstrations that showcase traditional crafts and practices.

Massillon Cemetery Creep and Crawl

Join us for this second annual event with all new presentations! Tour at your own pace & visit storytellers stationed throughout the cemetery. Learn about some of the people buried at Massillon Cemetery as well as historical mourning practices. You may even hear a few ghost stories along the way. Registration is not required, but you must check in upon arrival.

There is “Something for Everyone” each year at the annual “Atwood Area Fall Festival”, located at beautiful Atwood Lake Park in Mineral City, Ohio during the first weekend in October.  The Atwood Area Fall Festival reaches a wide audience with food, music, homemade crafts, hands-on displays, entertainment, interpretive demonstrations, exhibits, and so much more.  In cooperation with the Muskingum Watershed Conservancy District, the Atwood Area Fall Festival Committee Inc. coordinates all the weekend’s activities.
