It can be tough to find the motivation to bundle up the family and escape your house, but once you’re out having fun, it’s so worth it! Here are some local and (best of all) FREE activities to get your family out and active this winter.
This informational campaign comes to you in partnership with the Stark County Community Action Agency.
- Visit the Stark County Library. You can find storytimes, crafts, workshops, and more on their calendar!
- Visit Stark Parks! Even during the winter and spring, you can find a ton of workshops, hiking trails, and programs for the whole family!
- Mosey around the Hartville Marketplace and Flea Market. You can find a list of their events here.
- Schedule a free art tour at the Massillon Museum.
- Visit the outdoor enclosures at the new Wildlife Conservation Center. The rescued animals in these enclosures are not able to be released into the wild.
- Go on a free (and delicious) tour at the Fanny May Chocolate Factory.
- The Canton Museum of Art is free for children 12 and under, as well as Blue Star families. They also offer free admission on Thursdays!
- Join other local families for Newsymom Playdates at Belden Village Mall from 11 am to 12 pm on the second Thursday of every month. You can check out other fun activities at Belden Village Mall here.
- Want to see some vintage toys? You should check out The Toys Time Forgot in Canal Fulton and show your kids what you did to pass the time during your childhood!
You can also sign your family up to join Pigskin Pals for Stark County discounts and events!
Don’t let the winter weather or cold temperatures stop you from making core memories with your family in Stark County!
