Golden Eagle Athletics at KSU Tuscarawas

The Golden Eagles soar in lively sportsmanship competitions at the KSU Tuscarawas campus enjoyed by the whole community.

Why Go Anywhere Else? is brought to you in partnership with Kent State University at Tuscarawas.

Displayed prominently on the Golden Eagles Tuscarawas athletic site is its mission statement; “Kent State University at Tuscarawas is a member of the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA). The campus values academics, encourages healthy competition and prides itself on offering opportunities to participate in intercollegiate sports at the championship -level while students earn their degrees.”

The Tuscarawas campus allows for enrolled students with at least a 2.0 GPA and taking a minimum of 12 credit hours each semester to play sports.

Home basketball and volleyball games are streamed live for friends and family to see if they are unable to come in person.  Videos are also posted to YouTube so they may be viewed later as well.  General admission tickets for all sports can be purchased for $5 at the door with 5 and under free of charge.

2019-2020 Season

There were a total of 100 student-athletes in the 2019-2020 year playing sports safely during the pandemic at KSU Tuscarawas.

  • KSU Tuscarawas student-athletes have claimed a total of 25 USCAA Academic All-American honors and 12 USCAA All-American awards in its five years of membership in the USCAA.

Many individual award champions can be seen here including 6 spring 2021 athletes recognized as “All-American” & End of the Year Award Winners for baseball and softball.

Athletic Director Keeps the Ball Rolling

Athletic Director, Rob Brindley, has continued working hard throughout the sports season especially during COVID.  He explains conferences, USCAA, coaching, and Fall 2021 athletics.  Scheduling has begun for the upcoming academic year including championships.
