Great news for moms with kids of all ages and abilities– The City of North Canton, Ohio.’s Dogwood Park is hosting their grand opening on April 23! Join in for the ribbon cutting at 10am. Come and meet Dairy Queen’s Curly during the grand opening. He will be there passing out Ice Cream Cone coupons to the first 400 visitors.
Dogwood Park Makeover
This park makeover was absolutely needed for kids with disabilities to play safely. Other parks in North Canton have mulch, which made it hard to navigate through with a wheelchair or other assistive devices.
As part of the $1.8 million overhaul, kids with and without disabilities are able to play side-by-side on turf approved by the American Disabilities Act. Dogwood Park will be larger, safer, and more fun for kids of all ages and abilities!
The re-construction of the park was delayed multiple times due to complications from the pandemic. However, the wait is soon to be over! Featured in the park will be swings, slides, ramps, and much more. The only thing left to do is check it out!Â
North Canton Public Library‘s also installed a 20-podium Story Walk on a paved path connecting a parking lot to the new playground!
