Camp Invention® is coming with an all-new program, Illuminate!

In partnership with the National Inventors Hall of Fame®, Stark County is excited to offer the nationally acclaimed Camp Invention program to children entering kindergarten through sixth grade. This inspiring, weeklong summer experience provides opportunities for open-ended, hands-on exploration of science, technology, engineering and more! Taking on a variety of exhilarating activities each day, children have fun collaborating with friends, thinking creatively and inventing their own solutions to real-world challenges.

The all-new 2024 program will spark the imagination of both new and returning campers with an adventure full of inspiration, innovation and unforgettable discoveries!

During this action-packed, confidence-boosting program, young innovators will:

  • Develop their own sports ball and customize a light-up game with a unique brand and logo as they explore athletics, design and innovation
  • Discover the science of light through illuminating inventions and fluorescent animals, then build a one-of-a-kind Glow Box using circuitry and ultraviolet light
  • Embark on an epic global operation to tackle water challenges around the world, learning the role that water plays with the help of a robotic lab-on-wheels
  • Star as a contestant on a prototyping game show, molding and shaping ideas into awesome inventions using everyday items and a DIY toolbox

Tuscarawas County Dale Lauren Foland Manufacturing CampTuscarawas County Dale Lauren Foland Manufacturing Camp

The Tuscarawas County Dale Lauren Foland Manufacturing Camp is a three-day exploration into the world of manufacturing for Tuscarawas County Fall 2024 7th and 8th graders.

Students will discover the technology and innovation of manufacturing through presentations from local experts and tours of manufacturing facilities in the area.

Take advantage of this one-of-a-kind educational experience that inspires students to envision their future careers in the Tuscarawas Valley!

 

 

 

Camp Canopy

Camp Canopy

Experience the great outdoors in the woods of Ohio FFA Camp Muskingum with hands-on forester activities and cool forestry technology!

Founded in 1950 and formerly known as Ohio Forestry & Wildlife Conservation Camp, Camp Canopy has grown into one of the most popular summer camps among high schoolers in Ohio, hosting 10,000+ campers since its inception. Many students have taken what they learned during their summer(s) spent at Camp Canopy and have gone on to study natural resource disciplines at their post-secondary institutions. Others have simply learned a ton of cool stuff related to forestry and wildlife in Ohio.

The camp is open to incoming freshman through graduating seniors (up to 19 years of age). The weeklong (Sunday-Friday) camp is held the second week of June – it’s the perfect mix of forestry, wildlife, and adventure!

 

 

 

 

4-H Camp Piedmont | Piedmont OH4-H Camp Piedmont

A residential camping experience for current Tuscarawas County 4-H members in grades 3-8 this school year. Youth must be an active member of the Tuscarawas County 4-H program.

Students entering grades 6-9 will participate in the Summer Performance Academy, our two-week-long theatre intensive. Additionally, students entering grades 1-5 will participate in the Children’s Workshop, a one-week camp focused on all aspects of being on stage. The Little Theatre Performance Academy will run from July 22-August 4, and the Children’s Workshop will run from July 28-August 4.

 

 

The Learning Zone - Salvation Army Northeast Ohio DivisionThe Learning Zone Summer Fun Zone Day Camp

Summer Fun Zone day camp runs for 9 weeks in 2022 from June 13 through August 12 for campers who have finished kindergarten through fifth grade. Each week is full of field trips, child-led activities in nature and outdoors, STEM activities, social and emotional skill building, sports, and old-fashioned summer fun.

  Adventures in History Camp

This year’s Reeves Museum History Camp is still accepting registrations! The camp features four days of educational fun for students entering grades 3 through 6. The themes this year are History War, The 1980s, and Egypt/King Tut. There will be guest speakers, games, activities, and a snack each day.
