A call that you’re child is hurt…or worse, is a parent’s greatest fear.
But, that’s just the call Lisa Barnes of Dover, Ohio received Monday morning.
Her son is a junior at The Ohio State University and was on campus when a 20 year old student drove his car into a group of people before getting out and stabbing people with a butcher’s knife.
Barnes’ son was in a basement classroom and was not injured.
However; the latest reports list 8 people sent to the hospital with stab wounds and other injuries.
The attacker, 20-year-old Abdul Rasak Ali Artan, was a student at OSU and native of Somalia.
Campus office Alan Horujko, on the force for just two years, shot and killed the knife-wielding student.
Barnes says this incident brings to light the importance of having armed officers on all school campuses.
