(Ashland, Ohio) – Volunteers from the Ashland Rotary Club, Leadership Ashland Class of 2019, and Ashland County Job and Family Services came together over the weekend to make the finishing touches to a new playground.
The project began roughly a year ago and came to fruition on Saturday as volunteers worked side-by-side to install playground barriers, assemble equipment, and spread mulch. The playground will be used by foster children during family visits at JFS.
Funds to make the project possible were contributed by the Rotary Club and Leadership Ashland. The playground, according to reports, marks the largest protect the Leadership Ashland program has been involved with in the program’s history.
