Polar Bear Dip

Charles Mill Lake Park will host the Polar Bear Dip! Polar Bear Dip Ashland County unites the community behind the American Cancer Society’s efforts to save lives from cancer. The event begins at 3 pm. For more information about the event and how to participate, click on the link below.

Day One Hike

Start the new year off on the right foot! Join the folks at Atwood Lake Park for their First Day Hike on January 01, 2024, at 2:00 pm.
Embrace the fresh air, beautiful views, and a healthy lifestyle as you kick off the New Year together. Let’s make 2024 unforgettable from the FIRST DAY. 
The hike will begin at Atwood Lake Park’s Welcome Center and start at 2:00 pm. It is a self-guided hike and roughly 2.3 miles long. Don’t forget to dress for the weather!

The Muskingum Watershed Conservancy District is a responsible steward dedicated to providing the benefits of flood reduction, conservation, and recreation in the Muskingum River Watershed. The MWCD is the largest conservancy district in the state and led the effort to construct 14 dams and reservoirs. The MWCD has jurisdiction for its operations in all or portions of an 18-county area. The 18 counties wholly or partially contained in the MWCD jurisdiction are Ashland, Belmont, Carroll, Coshocton, Guernsey, Holmes, Harrison, Knox, Licking, Morgan, Muskingum, Noble, Richland, Stark, Summit, Tuscarawas, Wayne, and Washington.
