(New Philadelphia, Ohio) – Big Brothers Big Sisters of East Central Ohio (BBBS) is gearing up for the 3rd Annual Pulling for Kids’ Sake event.
It’s all happening on Saturday, September 15th. The event will take place in the Route 250 Parking Lot at the New Towne Mall. Officials explain in a press release that the event is the ultimate man versus machine challenge, as participants sign up with a team to pull a truck weighing more than 30,000 pounds.
This event is an annual fundraiser that raises both money and awareness for BBBS. The event is open to the public and will also include entertainment, food, and activities for kids. Spectators are strongly encouraged to attend and cheer on their favorite team!
Teams consist of a maximum of ten members but can choose to pull with less than ten if desired. Groups compete to pull the truck twenty-five feet in the fastest amount of time. Each team member should pay a minimum of $40 for adults and $20 for children/college students for the privilege in competing in this exclusive event. All proceeds benefit BBBS.
Big Brothers Big Sisters is a non-profit 501 (c) 3 charitable organization with six paid employees and two types of mentoring programs: Community-based Mentoring and School-based Mentoring.
