Dan Wales – Candidate for Plain Local School Board of Education

The only new face in the running for a seat on the Plain Local School Board of Education is Dan Wales.

Wales has lived in the Plain Local School District for over 10 years and explained to Newsymom.com that he loves the community.

“My wife, two boys and myself feel blessed to be part of this district,” said Wales. “I’m just a blue-collar worker, looking to make a positive impact in the lives of my children and, if possible, yours too!”

Wales went on to detail several goals should he be elected to a seat on the board.

“Obtaining a seat on the Plain School Board would be an amazing opportunity to get involved and give back to this community I’ve been so blessed to call home,” explained Wales.

He outlined a goal to bring more light on the need for transparency in relation to meetings, posting minutes, budgets, agendas and extending an open door policy to allow the community to share ideas about how the district can continually grow and strive for excellence.

“Our children are the future,” he added. “We need to keep striving to do better by them because if we aren’t growing, we are dying. It is time to put students, teachers, and taxpayers ahead of any personal agendas.”

Wales gave his word to voters that he would be honored to represent the community on the Plain Local School Board of Education.

“Thank you so much for considering me for this distinguished position! If given the chance to serve, I will work tirelessly to perform my duties! After all, as a Dad of children in the district, I have a vested interest in striving to grow!”
