A former Ohio doctor is now making waves in Florida’s medical industry.

Doctor Barry Gordon served as an ER doctor at Alliance Community Hospital in Stark County, Ohio for more than 30 years.

Now, in his “retirement” he’s pursuing another passion in Florida: medical marijuana.

Dr. Gordon says time-and-time again he’s heard tragic stories about children suffering from debilitating illnesses.

He says over the years there has been a great deal of legislative ‘push-back’ making it difficult for those children to find relief.

Dr. Gordon says Tuesday, January 3rd, 2017 marks the opening of the Compassionate Cannabis Clinic of Venice.

He says he believes medical marijuana will offer relief to children and adults suffering from a variety of diseases.

Dr. Gordon says while there is still a lot of research to do and numerous components of cannabis to learn more about, he is certain that there are some components that have proven to offer a significant, positive impact.
