Dover Public Library Adds Family Game Nights to Fall Schedule

School has started again, which means our schedules are now jam-packed with practice, lessons, and homework making family time hard, but officials with the Dover Public Library say they have you covered!

board-761586_640The Dover Public Library is announcing monthly family game nights starting September 25, where officials will provide your entire family with food and entertainment for the evening.

No cooking.

No washing up.

Just pack everyone into the car (or ride your bikes) and head over to the library!

With new games donated by Dover/New Philadelphia Kiwanis, the library has been able to increase the collection to include games for all ages.

“So for once you can sit back, relax, enjoy a cooked meal with your kids, play some games together, and the best part: when you are done you get to go home with NO dishes to wash, and NO check to pay,” explained officials via a press release.

Librarian Claire Kandle added, “My husband and I both work full-time during the day, and my oldest daughter just started kindergarten. I’m looking forward to a night where I can actually sit and talk with my family about our day and have some fun together, without being distracted by the evening’s mundane dinner chores. It doesn’t get any better than that!”

The dates for family game nights are as follows:

Monday, September 25 5:30-7:30 p.m.

Monday, October 23 5:30-7:30 p.m.

Tuesday, November 28 5:30-7:30 p.m.
