In 2023 with the support of volunteers, Stark Parks removed 141 tires, cleared nearly 5,000 pounds of the invasive garlic mustard, collected 3,000 pounds of e-waste and removed over 2 dump trucks full of waste for clean-up days.
The “Earth Day Every Day” series kicks off Saturday, April 20th with trail clean-ups at Iron Horse Trail and Esmont Park. Registration is currently full for Esmont but volunteers are needed for Iron Horse.
Series events will be held throughout the year including a garlic mustard clean-up day on May 4th, river clean-up on August 13th and seed collection and cleanings in October and November. Visit StarkParks.com/EarthDay to learn about all of the events being offered and how you can get involved.
