Final week unmasked for some Ashland County schools as Superintendents are allowing masks optional for staff and students.
As of June 2nd, Governor Dewine’s lift of all COVID-19 pandemic orders included Ashland City and Loudonville-Perrysville exempted village schools having the option for faculty and students to go unmasked.
All of Ashland City Schools have altered their COVID-19 regulations concerning masks as they are now optional for adults and children in their 5 buildings throughout the district. This has been approved by Superintendent Douglas Marrah. The school year ends on June 9th for students and June 10th for staff with graduation taking place on June 12th, 2021.
The optional masking has also been adopted in Loudonville-Perrysville exempted village schools approved by Superintendent Catherine Puster.
Ashland City’s Schools:
- Ashland High School
- Ashland Middle School
- Edison Elementary School
- Reagan Elementary School
- Taft Intermediate School
Masks Optional but…
Other COVID-19 protocols will still remain in the schools. These include social distancing, hand washing and sanitizing, as well as routine cleaning.
The district does recommend along with the Ohio Health Department that unvaccinated individuals continue to wear a mask.
