(Dover, Ohio) – March is stacking up to be a fun-filled time at the Dover Public Library Children’s Department.
n conjunction with Read Across America Day and Dr. Seuss’s birthday, the library has put together some fun events to celebrate. Storytimes will have a theme all month and kids can participate by dressing up each week for the theme. The themes will be on the Wednesday storytimes at 10 am and 1 pm. March 1 will be Wacky Wednesday where kids can dress in crazy mismatched clothes, March 8 will be pajama day and kids can wear PJs and bring along a favorite stuffy or blanket, March 15 will be dress as your favorite Dr. Seuss character, March 22 will be crazy sock day and March 29 is Cat in the Hat and kids can wear a fun hat. Also, Saturday, March 25 will be a special 11 am storytime on Maple Syrup with fun activities and snacks.
Saturday, March 4 the library will celebrate Dr. Seuss with a party. This event will be held at 11 am and will consist of a fun Seussical story followed by some crafts and snacks.
Tuesday, March 14 is Pi day and kids can stop by the library from 4-5 pm and make their own personal pie to take home and enjoy.
Lego/Builders nights will be Thursday, March 9th and 23rd from 4-6 pm where kids can stop by and build with 10 different sets of building materials.
All month there will be fun activities going on in the children’s department that kids can enjoy such as the I spy, naming Seuss character shadows, finding truffula trees, and lots of fun take-home crafts and coloring and puzzle sheets.
