Teens and young adults face many changes and challenges during the transition age, ranging from 14 to 22 years old.
#BetterTogether is brought to you by the Tuscarawas County Board of Developmental Disabilities.
Teens and young adults with developmental disabilities will find help and support through TuscBDD. Through teamwork between their family, school, and Transition Services available with their Service & Support Administrator (SSA), students can prepare for life after high school.
Starting at age 14, goals and curriculum are used to meet the student’s needs and help him or her transition to working, living, and participating successfully in the community. An additional resource for transition age youth is the Ohio Healthy Transitions Project (OHTP), Level Up. You can find more information about the initiative and support for adulthood transitioning here.
The Tuscarawas County Board of Developmental Disabilities (TuscBDD) has resources for children and adults with developmental disabilities. TuscBDD provides Early Intervention for children birth to three years old, Service and Support Administration for people of all ages, family support services, family mentorship, and more!
