A northeast Ohio organization that serves families raising children living with life-threatening illnesses brought a smile to the faces of Northeast Ohio families with some help from the beloved mascot.
According to their website, A Kid Again serves families by providing cost-free, fun-filled destination events throughout the year that they call adventures. Funding is provided through the support of the local community and fundraising events.
The organization initially planned to take families in Northeast Ohio to the Indians game originally scheduled for this weekend, but due to COVID-19 concerns, the game has been postponed. With the game no longer an option, the organization called on Slider himself. They organized a virtual dance party for all of the families led by the mascot. Families were able to enjoy a dance with Slider safely from their homes.
