Local School District Hires New Principal

(Zoarville, Ohio) – Tuscarawas Valley Local Schools announces new Assistant Principal for grades 5-12.

The school board of education recently met to act on the recommendation to hire Gregory Dickerhoof as Assistant Principal for grades 5-12 and Head Football Coach. Mr. Dickerhoof previously served as an intervention specialist and assistant football coach at Massillon Washington High School.
Officials explain he also previously taught and coached at Rittman Exempted Village School District. He earned his Masters in Education Administration from Ashland University and his Bachelor of Arts in Accounting from Walsh University.
“We are excited to welcome Mr. Dickerhoof to the Tusky Valley family,” explained Superintendent Mark Murphy. “His leadership, professionalism, intuition, character, and experience will provide vital administrative support for all middle and high school students, staff and families.”
Murphy added, “We’re also grateful to have Mr. Dickerhoof assume the role of head football coach for the Trojans. Greg has a compelling vision for a robust K-12 football program, one which engages all aspects of the student learning experiences, including the band, cheerleaders, student section, and youth program. Greg is energetic, driven, and competitive. He is also kind-hearted, empathetic, and committed to building respectful, lasting relationships with young people. We look forward to supporting Mr. Dickerhoof in his endeavors to strengthen and build upon our strong tradition of Trojan athletics.”
