Massillon Baseball Instructor Accused of Sexual Battery

A now 20-year-old woman is alleging she and her former baseball instructor were in a sexual relationship three years ago.

39-year-old Chad Stitt of Lawrence Township is facing a third-degree felony charge of sexual battery. The charge accuses Stitt, who is one of the operators of All-Star Battle Complex, engaged in a sexual relationship with a 17-year old girl in 2015.

While the girl was older than the age of consent at the time, Ohio law prohibits coaches or teachers from engaging in sexual conduct with students and/or players.

An arraignment is expected the morning of Friday, May 11th.
