Mentor Monday – Match Madness

(Dover, Ohio) – Big Brothers Big Sisters of East Central Ohio recently set out on an ambitious goal of recruiting TEN new Bigs in the month of July in order to match children from their Waiting List.

And, they successfully met that goal, with FIVE of those Bigs already matched with their Littles! While the staff is hard at work to schedule the remaining match meetings, they wanted to take a moment to share about the five matches made in July to celebrate these life-changing relationships and share these matches with their community.

1Big Brother Josh & Little Brother Carter

Match Date: July 15th

Adopted By: Republic State Mortgage

Why they were matched: Carter is very interested in learning about sports and developing his skills, so Josh’s experience with coaching will make a great fit to help Carter grow!

 

 

2Big Brother Nick & Little Brother Damiere

Match Date: July 28th

Adopted By: DoverPhila Credit Union

Why they were matched: These two both love fishing and talked about their fishing plans in their match meeting! Common interests are a great way to build a relationship.

 

 

3Big Sister Celine & Little Brother Brantley

Match Date: July 28th

Adopted By: Dover Chemical Corporation

Why they were matched: These two already had a great relationship from their school-based match. They are excited to spend time together outside of school!

 

 

4Big Sister Kasey & Little Sister Isabella

Match Date: July 28th

Adopted By: Adventure Harley-Davidson

Why they were matched: Kasey was a Big in the past and was looking to get involved again. Her and Isabella will make a great fit with their personalities and are looking forward to going to the park together!

 

 

5Big Brother Matt & Little Brother Micah

Match Date: July 29th

Adopted By: Hendricks Rentals

Why they were matched: Micah wanted a male influence in his life and is hoping to mountain bike and explore the woods with Matt!
